What is culture?

Culture is the combination of material and immaterial values created by humanity, including language, traditions, art, science, norms of behavior, religion, and ways of organizing societal life. It reflects the worldview, experiences, and interactions of people in a specific historical and social context.

Culture is what distinguishes people from one another and makes us human. It includes:

  • Language: How we communicate and express our thoughts.
  • Traditions: Things we are accustomed to doing—holidays, rituals, family habits.
  • Art: Music, paintings, books, films—everything that makes the world more beautiful.
  • Rules: How to behave in society to ensure everyone feels comfortable.
  • Knowledge: Science, technology, and discoveries that we use.
  • Food: The dishes we prepare and eat, along with their recipes.

Culture is like a "common language" within a group or country that helps people understand one another. It takes time to develop, is passed down through generations, and evolves over time.
