Abdullaev Abdulhak Aksakalovich (1918 - 2001) People's Artist of Uzbekistan, honorary member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
The life and work of Abdulkhak Abdullayev is an endless study, knowledge of the complex, and sometimes contradictory world of man. Of the numerous genres of fine art, Abdulhak Abdullayev chose the genre of a portrait.
In 1926 he entered the Labor School in Tashkent. It was an exemplary educational institution, the artistic education of children was put on a good basis here.
The drawing teacher, seeing his success in drawing, advised him to enroll in an art college. In 1931, after graduating from the first stage of the school, Abdulhak came to Samarkand, where an art technical school was located at that time. The teachers of the young artist were teachers - L.L.Bure, 3.M. Kovalevskaya, and P.P. Benkov.
Already in 1937, Abdulhak exhibited two of his portraits at the next exhibition of Uzbek artists in Moscow: "Portrait of a Comrade" and "Brother".
Later he studied at the Moscow Art Institute (1938-1941) under V.P. Efanov and A.A. Osmyorkin.
“I cannot recover from the portrait of Abrar Khidoyatov. I have not seen this actor on stage, but the eyes of the majestic, still completely self-controlled Othello, poisoned by suspicion, are amazing and scary, ”the viewer Novikov writes in his guest book at Abdulhak's personal exhibition in Moscow in 1973.
He taught at the Art School (1950-1957) and the Pedagogical Institute. Nizami (1955-1957) in Tashkent. The artist's canvases are kept in museums in Uzbekistan, Russia, Italy, India, and other countries of the world.
